AB The network control unit (NCU), when used in conjunction with
a buffer interface chip (BIC) allows fast interprocessor networks
to be constructed. The chip set has many advantages over
traditional shared bus schemes. Most important are highly
parallel communications, high data rates and very low processor
overheads in network management.
