An experimental implementation of parts of a system based on a high-speed Local Area Network is described; these include a simple scren output device and a real-time camera input device. The generation of images using a number of microprocessors is also described. A number of applications for such a system are investigated and the extension of this approach to implement in Integrated Information Presentation system is considered.
