TI An Integrated Development and Run-time Environment System for Distributed Memory Parallel Computers LT 90-008 YR 1990 AU Decker, Karsten AU Rehmann, Ren\'{e AB After presenting a short overview on existing portable software tools supporting the implementation of codes for full scale scientific applications, we present the concept of a integrated development and run-time environment system, which will not only support Monte Carlo simulations of lattice gauge theory, but also applications areas like physical chemistry, image analysis and neural networks. The key features of our system include portability to a range of heterogeneous networks of processors and expandability, where the latter also allows to supplement completely new application areas. We conclude by presenting the current status and the time schedule of our project.
