TI Meshix: A Unix like operating system for distributed machines

AB Topsy is a new message passing multicomputer architecture. It
comprises a fully Unix compatible distributed kernel, called
mesh, resting on a message based software system which in turn
relies on new, high speed, communications hardware.  A brief
overview of the machine architecture and operating system is
presented. We then discuss the implementation of the distributed
file servers and their impact on cache policies and the virtual
memory system.
