FD605 Card Services Client Driver
- Run Card and Socket Services
Refer to your computers documentation about which type of Card
and Socket Services you have. If your notebook's BIOS incorporates
Card and Socket Services, you do not need to install the driver.
Click here to download the Card Wizard
, If you have difficulty to install Card Service.
Example 1
If your notebook uses SystemSoft's
CardSoft, add the following lines to your CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDSOFT\SSDBOOK.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDSOFT\CS.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDSOFT\CSALLOC.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDSOFT\CARDID.EXE
Example 2
If your notebook uses DataBook's CardTalk, add the following
lines to your CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDTALK\TMB250.SYS /IO:240
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDTALK\CTALKCS.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDTALK\CARDTALK.SYS /A /IOW=300-33F /MEMW=D000-D7FF
Example 3
If your notebook uses Phoenix's PCM+, add the following lines
to your CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICE=C:\PCM3\CNFIGNAME.EXE /DEFAULT
DEVICE=C:\PCM3\PCMSS.EXE
DEVICE=C:\PCM3\PCMCS.EXE
DEVICE=C:\PCM3\PCMRMAN.SYS
- If you have EMM386.EXE installed in your CONFIG.SYS, you must
exclude the memory address D400-D7FF.
DEVICE=EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=D400-D7FF
- Copy the Card Services Client Driver to the Notebooks Hard
Drive
Copy the ENABLER.EXE program from the root directory of the Software
Driver Diskette to the path:
C:\FD605
- Run the Card Services Client Driver
From the C:\> prompt type:
ENABLER /IO=XXX /IRQ=X <ENTER>
/IO=XXX - Select a free I/O Address for the FD605 to use. Valid
addresses are 300, 320, 340, and 360.
/IRQ=X - Select a free IRQ value for the FD605 to use. Valid IRQs
are 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, and 15.
If the I/O address and IRQ values are not specified, the ENABLER.EXE
Card Services Client driver automatically scans and assigns available
I/O address and IRQ number to the FD605 PCMCIA EtherCard.
If a specified I/O address or IRQ number is already taken by
the system or conflicts with the hardware configuration of other
adapters, the ENABLER.EXE Card Services Client driver automatically
scans and assigns available I/O address and IRQ number to the
FD605 PCMCIA EtherCard.
